Becoming an everyday writer

I talk a lot about academic writing on this website (check out this video series) because, up until recently, this is something I have always struggled with.

And, while I’m still improving, I now happily say that I’m a good writer. This is largely down to writing every day – I simply keep going and going, and eventually, I overcome the remaining weaknesses I have.

But I don’t think becoming an everyday writer happens without conscious effort, and it's important that effort is guided effectively.

In this video, I provide some direction which can hopefully set you off on the right path. This video builds on this Tweet, outlining key points out in a more simplified way.
